I headed out to Chesterland, OH for this in home newborn photography session. I got to meet Cameron in the hospital when he was just 2 days old at his Fresh 48 session and it’s amazing to see how much he changed in just 2 short weeks for his home newborn session.
When I arrived, Cam was busy nursing with his Mama, and was so content. I was sure we’d have a sleepy, satisfied baby for our session, but he was just as alert for his home session as he was for his Fresh 48 session! And I’m glad because he has the most beautiful eyes! We were able to get great images of Cam with Mom and Dad and even Jayden, the fur baby, who joined in our maternity session, made an appearance in these images as well. She was so comfy just hanging out with her little brother:)
I love when parents book both a Fresh 48 and an In Home Newborn Session. I think there is such a different feel to each session. In the hospital, the baby is so new and the session concentrates on capturing the hospital details and the fresh newborn features. At the home session, the focus is more on photographing the baby in his/her own environment. I love that parents (and baby!) will be able to look back and remember the details of the home they first brought their newborn home to. I also think that parents start to come in to their own and learn what their babies like and don’t like. They know if that furrowed brow means he’s tired or if that way he sucks his fingers means he’s hungry. I love photographing these unique moments.
Thanks, Gina and Jeff, for letting me capture such a special times in your lives!
This last image, to me, summarizes what life is like with a newborn. Mom and Dad both working together to try and calm baby and pup thinking “Will this kid ever stop crying?” Aren’t they such a cute little family?
Thanks Gina and Jeff for letting me capture all your special moments these last few months. I loved every click of the shutter!
